To the common question “when can my child start training in financial literacy”, experts answer that it is never too early to teach our children concepts such as responsible expenses, savings, and investments. In fact, traditional money debates need to evolve to include technology, the environment and energy.
Our goal is for children to be able to become “ambassadors” of positive change both in their personal lives and in the wider community. For this reason, Woli Academy is based on the following psychoeducational principles:
Holistic approach. We base the design and implementation of the program on a holistic approach. We offer the possibility of raising awareness and education not only of the child but also of his parents.
Self-knowledge, personal exploration and development. Through child-centered experiential learning we enhance children’s self-confidence, which is essential for their personal development. We encourage children to a greater self-knowledge, while giving them space to cultivate values and their creative expression.
Joy and creativity. We design and implement all our educational material based on joy and creativity. We thus set the conditions for a positive experience for meaningful learning.
Rights and responsibilities. We respectfully follow the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Children are informed, participate in decision-making that concerns them and express their opinion. At the same time, they learn about the responsibilities towards themselves, their family, the community, and the environment.
Scientific documentation. We develop original educational material utilizing modern scientific data and research.
Learning good financial habits in our children is not fundamentally different from educating them on healthy eating habits and good manners. Basic concepts such as saving for a goal and spending as much as they can afford, will help them live a happier and more financially stable life!
